What is liberatory leadership?
Liberatory Leadership is the introspective process of examining one’s identities, lived experiences, influences, biases, assumptions and beliefs, and how these inputs inform their intersectional leadership identity.
As we seek to be liberatory leaders we strive to learn new perspectives and continuously improve our management practices, connect across lines of difference, bring our authentic selves into our leadership behaviors, model vulnerability and transparency, and leverage our positional power to create greater inclusion, belonging, and liberation for others around us in the workplace.
